Hi guys,
Could anyone provide me some information on how likely I am to get into Monash economics honours with these relevant grades? (Starting 2021) I'm at Caulfield bbus/accounting. I have spoken with the coordinator extensively, and he's given me good advice but at the same time is pretty much just telling me to "try my best". On the site it says you need minimum 70% WAM across 4 level 3 eco units or equivalent to be accepted. From Caulfield, however, it's 80%, to account for the mathematics differential between business and commerce. I have done as he has suggested and taken difficult calculus/econometrics math units (e.g. ETF 3200 and ETF2700).
If I didn't mess up my two 2nd year economics units I wouldn't be worried in the slightest in whether I would get a spot or not, but they bring down my WAM considerably. I believe my overall WAM will be around 80.
ECF2731 - Managerial Economics:71
ECF2331 - Macroeconomics and Monetary Policy: 64
ECF3121 - Economics of international trade: 85
ECF3900 - Business, Competition and regulation: 81
ETF2100 - Introductory Econometrics: 85
ECF3143- Economics of money and banking: 89
ETF3200 - Applied Econometrics (next year semester 2) --> Projected: 80
ETF2700 - Mathematics for Business: (next year semester 2) --> Projected: 80
Thank you!
