Is year 11 work necessary to know to get band 6 in HSC?

I did advanced in year 11 but dropped for year 12, how much of year 11 stuff is necessary to know?

Yes you are required to know all the topics in Year 11. If u check out the NESA website of Standard Maths HSC Papers u will see that almost everything of Year 11 is assessed
