Correlation between AMC % and Maths Study Score?

I'm wondering whether you can get a 40+ study score for methods or spesh if you get a distinction upwards. Is there any correlation?

Minor. If you do well in the AMC, you clearly have the capacity to achieve a high SS in maths.

I wouldn't read too much into it though. VCE & every subject within it is essentially a competition in itself.

I think you also need to consider the content differences between the two as well.
Experience in teaching at both secondary and tertiary levels.

yes you can get 40+.

Although even if you don't get a distinction upwards you can still get 40+
 
and

even if you top the country in amc doesn't necessarily mean you get a 40+.

e.g. One of my friends and I scored decently (nothing ridiculous though) on AMC usually getting HD's however I ended up getting study scores of meth/spec roughly +10 against his so I would say there is a tiny correlation but nothing saying that if you don't do well in one you can't do well in the other.
