What the heck, year 9s get to choose their houses now?
BTW, go for Rothwell, it's the best house.

Congrats on being the first cohort that gets to enjoy the vertical homegroup system. ;D
I'm guessing you're kororoit lol

What's the vertical homegroup system? :)

The only reason I went Kororoit is because I got influenced by a few older year levels

Same, everyone said it was the best house

Depends on teacher and what is going on in class at the moment. If a teacher is speaking or lecturing it is generally unacceptable however if you are left to do your own work most teachers will be fine with it given you take them out if they have something to announce.

Our principal abolished the normal homegroup system and instead of being in the same homegroup with everyone in your year level your homegroup will now contain people from year 9 ~ 12. The point is that older year levels and mentor the younger year levels or something...

Hope you guys have fun at Cory. It's an awesome school :)

Cool, thanks  ;D

Ok Thanks, generally I use them to work and take them out whenever the teacher is talking.

On our booklist it says we need to buy an oxford dictionary, is it necessary to buy? Do you use it in class constantly, or could you avoid purchasing it?

I wouldn’t stay you use it daily but it’s pretty essential for English tests. Used mine throughout my 4 years.

Kororoit is the best house. They won the first house championship ever by a huge margin and they are an unstoppable force in the house championships.
