Hello!
I’m Rachel, 2019 Dux of Huntingtower, a 99.95 graduate and current Chancellor’s Scholar at Unimelb going into my second year in a bachelor of Biomedicine.

My Scores:
-   English Raw 50, Premier’s Award
-   Biology Raw 49
-   Specialist Maths Raw 49
-   Chemistry Raw 46
-   Mathematical Methods Raw 46
-   Latin Raw 40
-   Top All-Rounder Award
-   UCAT 99th Percentile

For those of you who are looking for guidance and support in your upcoming studies, I am offering 2021 VCE tutoring for English Units 1/2 & 3/4, Biology Units 3/4, and Specialist Maths Units 3/4. I am also happy to talk through requests for younger year levels as well.

For those of you who are interested in Medicine, I am also able to offer guidance in the ever-challenging UCAT . Having been offered a scholarship and interview for Medicine from Monash University, an interview from UoAdelaide, UoWestern Sydney, UNSW and UoWestern Australia, and an offered place in Direct Entry Medicine from UoQueensland, UoWestern Sydney, UoAdelaide and UoTasmania, I also offer Interview sessions for MMIs, as well as general advice on entry into medicine.

I will be offering tuition, both crash-course style in the coming summer holidays for those who wish to get an orientation into 2021, or regularly throughout the year (weekly, once every 2 weeks, or by booking).
I am currently operating online, but in-person tutoring is possible depending on the situation.

English [raw 50, Premier’s Award]
(offering U3/4 Notes and past essays, SACs & Oral also)
English is a subject I particularly have passion for, and I have worked to refine the best approach to it as a subject. Understanding English is not just achieved by knowing how to write the essays required, but by discussion and building of ideas through conversation and talking with other people. I personally studied the U3/4 texts Station Eleven (text response), Ransom (comparative), Invictus (comparative), and Island (creative), but I am happy to familiarise myself with other texts as well. I am also able to help with the probable post-COVID return of the Oral SAC.

Biology [raw 49]
(offering U3/4 Notes also)
Infamous for being a content-heavy subject, I offer a simplification of complex concepts into more digestible steps throughout the year, as well as question-driven sessions before SACs to refine the lesson for each student, to help make Biology easier to handle.

Specialist Maths [raw 49]
(offering U3/4 Bound Reference also)
In teaching Units 3/4, I offer both a step-by-step run-through of the concepts in my tutoring, but also question-driven sessions to cater to each student. As a specialist maths student, I found that this was the most efficient and beneficial format of support, especially before school SACs or exams.

Chemistry [raw 46]
(offering U3/4 Notes)
While I am not currently tutoring for Chemistry, I am offering my U3/4 Notes, and am happy to offer some tips on my experience!

Mathematical Methods [raw 46]
(offering U3/4 Bound Reference)
While I am not currently tutoring for Methods, I am selling my U3/4 Bound Reference.

Latin [raw 40]
While I am not currently tutoring for Latin, I am happy to offer some tips on my experience, especially as a Distance-Education student!

UCAT [99th percentile]
The UCAT, as a fairly new exam, often remains a mystery for many, but is so vital in entrance to medicine. I offer an introduction to this ever-challenging computer-based exam and how it all works, as well as some tips based on my experience, and guidance on how to improve and work on your skills before taking the exam in July.

While building my tutoring experience through the years, I have found that catering the lesson plan to each student’s needs is the best way to efficiently and strategically improve, in any subject, so I am happy to discuss each student’s personal goals and areas of concern!

If you are interested or have any questions at all, please feel free to email me at [email protected].
I have a valid working with children’s check.

All the best in your academic journeys!
