Should I do Year 12 Psychology if I didn't do it in Year 11?

I did Psychology in Year 10 and enjoyed it but since this year there were no spots left I missed out on Year 11 Psych, so should I do it in Year 12 psych even though I don't have experience with doing it in Year 11?

Most people find that they aren't really disadvantaged by not having studied 1&2. I'll put up a resource explaining the things you would have missed out on for 1&2 that are reject to 3&4 after my exams but the main thing is research methods. You need to learn different types of sampling,  experiment procedures,  ethics etc.

Agreed with this. It'll take a bit of getting used to the kind of "approach" used in psych, but you shouldn't find yourself unduly disadvantaged by not having studied 1/2

I didn’t do 1/2 but I absolutely loved 3/4 psych best decision I made to pick it up!!! Not disadvantaged at all I didn’t think, but I did know some of the stuff (like IV DV) from chemistry, but you’ll learn quick

Yes, i essentially failed 1 and 2 psych and got 45 plus in 3 and 4. just restudy research methods over the holidays with your 3 and 4 textbook. its a very enjoyable course, and thankfully 1 and 2 is not required. good luck
