Workload I Should Expect?

Hey everyone!

I was just curious about what workload to expect out of my subjects for next year and if you happen to have any advice on how to tackle it, I'd greatly appreciate it!

These are my subjects:
  • English 1/2
  • Methods 1/2
  • Business Management 3/4
  • Biology 1/2
  • Economics 1/2
  • Texts & Traditions 2 (Compulsory since I go to a Catholic school)
  • Cert 3 Events (VET)

Thanks in advance  ;D

Hey!

I didn't take many of those subjects so it's hard for me to specifically comment on them, but most people at my school found that the workload increased a bit from year 10 to 11 but not heaps. This will depend a lot on how hard you choose to push yourself for your subject too, especially for your 3&4 subject

For 3&4 subjects in particular, it's good to get study preparation underway at the start of the year when things are more calm; and make sure you regularly practice rather than leaving it all to the last minute. A lot of the study guides for year 12 / units 3&4 of a subject will be applicable to you now so I also encourage you to check those out :)

Best of luck!

It's very much the case of how long is a piece of string. In a lot of schools, your workload will be determined by what your goals are to succeed. If you're expecting really high scores, then you'll need to work hard. If you're not, your workload will be smaller. Expect a fair jump from year 10 though.
