Mock timetable!!!

So i will be going away interstate for 1 week (26 jan to 1 feb) without a reliable source of internet connection. Hence, i decided to make a mock timetable before class registration opens so that i get my desirable class times ASAP.

FYI: Class registration for undergrads opens on the 2nd of feb at 10am

Please anyone comment about whether or not this is an ideal timetable, primarily:
1. Do i have too many/little breaks. Are they too long/short?
2. Should tutorials be before/after lectures? I've heard mixed things about this.
3. Will i make it in time for my lecture if one ends at 10am and another starts at 10am?
4. Does the average uni student have a day off?

Change your chem tute. Your chem prac won't run each week so you don't want to come in for just the one hour

Also, if you've got a long commute and/or you're bad with mornings I'd strongly suggest putting your chem prac in the afternoon. Every chem prac is assessed (about 5% of your total mark iirc) and you can't be more then 5 minutes late.

1. Breaks are fine. Partial to two hour breaks over one hour breaks - you can have a rest, and then get a bit of work done.

2. They'll usually cover the previous weeks content in tutorials, so it doesn't matter.

3. Yep, there's a ten minute break between lectures (they start at 5 past the hour, and finish at 5 to the hour.) If they're running overtime, most lecturers won't mind if you pop out early - just make sure you're at the back. First year lectures are usually much better finishing on time then later year lectures.

4. No such thing as an average student, but I'd say yes. You'd have a day off every fortnight if you move the chem tute. It's really just luck - it's more uncommon in science because we tend to have more contact hours.

How regular are the chem pracs?

Six a semester - but may not be fortnightly.

If it's anything like CHEM10006, there's 6 in total but they won't be every fortnight - you'll be assigned to a group and the prac weeks will be allocated for you

Would probably be a good idea doing the same with your biol prac and moving your maths tute, they don't run each week either (tutes do, pracs no)

Do bio and chem pracs occur at different weeks?

Would it be ideal to put them on the same day, considering they happen at different weeks?

Don't do it . Sometimes you have both in the same week

http://timetable.ruar.ai/ is also a great tool. Generates a timetable for you and you can move stuff around too.
