Selective School SACs

Hey all,
(sorry if this question has been asked a lot)
I am currently a year 12 student at a selective school and so far, in terms of my sacs, I'm in a position where I'm near the bottom rank. I've read that our sacs do scale up (dunno how much), but I shouldn't rely on it entirely anyways.

The sacs here are unbelievably difficult and the class average is way higher than my results for all my subjects.

So what's the deal with our scaling?

In general, if a cohort collectively performs much better on the exam than on their SACs, SAC marks will be moderated up. The opposite is true if the cohort performs much better collectively on SACs.

This isn't changing your level of achievement or anything like that - just the scale it's reported on. The idea is to not advantage or disadvantage any cohort based on how difficult their SACs on, or how stringently they're marked.

You can read more about some of the processes here if you're keen, but honestly, I'd try to put it out of your mind where possible. The best way to get good marks in the end is to focus on what you can control personally, and SAC moderation certainly isn't one of those things.
