I am in yr 11 and am looking to do UoM bc of science, the only problem is I currently do not do methods and I am pretty sure my school will not allow me to pick it up in yr 12 either nor do I have much interest in picking it up as I do not think I would do too well. I have however, found a course online through UniLearn -- UoM openly recognise their senior maths course as a equivalent to math methods. I am looking to complete the senior math course along side my vce studies. The VTAC website however, says:
Y12: Units 3 and 4: a study score of at least 30 in English (EAL) or at least 25 in English other than EAL; and a study score of at least 25 in one of Maths: Mathematical Methods (any) or Maths: Specialist Mathematics; and a study score of at least 25 in one of Biology, Chemistry or Physics. --OR-- Units 3 and 4: a study score of at least 30 in English (EAL) or at least 25 in English other than EAL; and a study score of at least 25 in both of Maths: Mathematical Methods (any) and Maths: Specialist Mathematics.
NY12: Y12 prerequisites or equivalent must be satisfied.
There is no mention of equivalents under the year 12 section. Could I still use my completion of Unilearn's Senior Math course given I complete it before I submit my first set of prefrencenes?
