From the top of my head, these are the subjects that I think would work well:
- Any of the englishes (I would slightly preference english language BUT this should be over ruled by whichever English you are the best at or most interested in)
- Chemistry (required for most med courses, functions as a science prereq, beneficial for studying biology & chemistry at a university level)
- Methods (I believe required for most med courses, required for most science courses)
- Biology (beneficial for studying biology at a university level, functions as a science prereq)
- Psychology (beneficial for studying psychology at a university level, complementary to VCE biology, MAY function as a science prereq)
- Specialist (beneficial for studying a range of science and mathematics subjects at a university level, MAY function as a science prereq)
- Physics ( there is a biophysics section which your school may allow you to study in year 11, functions as a science prereq, limited levels of being complementary to VCE chem, methods & spec)
However this comes with a MASSIVE disclaimer. Your choice of subjects is a deeply personal one and I would strongly recommend that you take the time out to reflect yourself as well as asking others (including your teachers). We can provide recommendations of what we think might work but we don't truly know you or your needs to these recommendations are just estimates. Additionally, I never strongly considered a med pathway, so my knowledge about this is limited.
Best of luck!
