What Study Scores do I Need for a 99+ ATAR?

Hey everyone,

If you are not aware already, QLD has ditched the OP for the ATAR. I am looking to acheive a 99+ ATAR, and I was wondering what minimum study scores I would need to achieve this.
Subjects are chem, bio, methods, spesh, english and physics. Study scores are out of 100. Both raw and scaled study scores would be greatly appreciated.  ;D

Thanks everyone!!  :)

I don’t believe it is possible to obtain an accurate estimation of the study scores required at this stage, as QCE has never used study scores out of 100 before, even to calculate OP. Using VCE statistics, you need to average around 46 in your scaled subjects to get an aggregate that will give you a 99 ATAR. On average this is approximately top 2% across all your subjects, so that should give you some indication about what scores out of 100 you need in each of your subjects.

Hey Twisty!

Yeah, as above, super difficult to say at this stage. In one sense, it's also not really that relevant. Like, even if you knew you required an average subject score of, say, 85, what would that really mean? Would it change the way you study?

That aside, it's also impossible to say at the moment because scaling has never been a thing with this subjects. We could guess that, say, Specialist Maths will scale up - but it's only a guess.

My advice? Try to focus on smashing your subjects, and worry about the scores themselves later. ;)

Duh!  :-[ What am I thinking? hahaha. Despite my stupid question, thanks so much for the estimates Quantum44!  :)

Yeah, my question was pretty dumb I guess lol. And yes, I'll still work hard despite the study scores, I was just curious what the study scores should be. ;)

Thanks so much!
