Accepting offers so they don't expire?

So i'm not sure if this is possible but lets say I got a second round offer from Monash. Is it possible to accept that Monash offer then after that decide to go back to Melbourne (first offer)? Or accept the Monash offer just so that it doesn't expire or get given to future round students.

Thanks

Edit: reason asking this is that i got a scholarship worth $34k from monash so there is a slight off-chance i might go...

Could you clarify what you are trying to achieve?
I don't understand the point of accepting an offer if you know for sure that you want to reject it

It would, however, be possible to accept the second round offer and later reject it
