Hello,
could i please get help for question 12b? I need to understand the concept. I know the answer to 12a. The textbook says the answer to 12b is 19mm, but i'm not getting it.
Much appreciated.
Sorry for my stupidity. Answer found.

Hey,

First of all kudos on your courage in asking for help even though you felt self-concious about it - imo that says a lot more about you as a learner/student than not getting a problem :)

Secondly,  here's the process:
a) (which you got)
1. 14/2  cm^3 = 7 cm^3
2. (7 cm^3)^(1/3) = 7^(1/3) cm
B)
1. 7^(1/3) cm is roughly 1.9 cm
2. cm is 10 times bigger than mm so: 1.9 cm = 19 mm

You might find this way of including units weird and you certainly don't have to do that in your working but I thought it might be useful since unit conversion is where you were stuck

Good luck & please let me know if anything in this explanation doesn't make sense :)
