oral presentation - have a slideshow or not?

for the oral, should you have a slide show? like on google slides? do people who not have slides score better?

i'd say that having slideshows are helpful, however don't put huge chunks of text that you'll just read off. you should have very little amount of text or no text of all but it should mainly have images to reinforce your arguments. at least that's what my teacher told us. in my class i only had this one girl who didn't use slide shows, the rest of us did, don't know how well she did but her argument was not effective nor engaging from the start so i'd say the most important thing would be focusing on making your arguments flow smoothly. think about intonation, eye contact, and engagement when you're presenting - those are more important.
