Offseason - Loved it (my two favourite teams are the Celtics and Mavs) so:
C's: Loved the Hayward signing, #1 pick trade was ehhh but Tatum is turning out to be a beast, i figure his career trajectory might be just under Fultz's so i think it depends on who the C's pick with that extra pick that makes the difference.

Mavs: Dennis Smith Jr is going to be the best #9 pick since Dirk (going to be an all-star and comparable to Hayward/Walker, my opinions are so biased lel).

Irving on the Cavs will turn out to be very interesting, will be intriguing to see who they flip him off for.

The rookies this year seem absolutely amazing, can definitely see Fultz, Ball, Tatum, Jackson, Fox and Smith turning out to be beasts. Maybe an imitation of the 2003 draft although no LBJ this draft imo

haha offseason is more intersting than the regular season

I think the best trade possible is Irving to the suns for eric bledsoe and josh jackson. Also maybe wiggins for irving but would need to add something else to make the trade to work. However kyrie won't sign an extension to the team that he is traded too so destroys his trade value.

yeah definitely this draft class looks great even dwayne wade even compared it to the 2003 draft as well. but yeah lebron is a once in a life time talent. My rookie of the year prediction is Lonzo Ball since he can make everyone on his roster better (also because I love pass-first point guards) and should have a much improved record. Although still probably won't make the playoffs.

Generally the teams which gets the best player (kyrie) wins the trade but in this case imo the cavs won the trade mainly because they ended up getting the 2018 nets pick (potentially top3/ definitely a lottery pick) in which they will probably deal and try to get another genuine starter in their bid to keep lebron.

Considering the cavs were trading from a position of weakness I'm suprised the celtics had to give up so much.

This was the guy from the Celtics that dislocated his ankle (and fractured his tibia), yeah?

Yeah so unlucky basically 5 mins into the new season (small piece of good news is it isn't career ending -people have come back from similar stuff - paul george) it's pretty graphic if anyone is going to look it up  :-\

It's so sad :( very appropriate reaction from the Cavs fans, so props to them.

Pretty good that the Celts ran the Cavs down to a 3 point game at their home court. They don't have IT back but we didn't have hayward for most of the game so pretty evenly matched i reckon.

Trying to revive this thread-what do you think of the NBA as of today
Finals Predictions?
MVP?
Personally, im happy that the cavs are back on track, the pistons will not stay at the top of the east, philly is playoff bound, golden state is not going to make it through the west unscathed, the T-wolves are gonna improve on defense eventually
AND WHAT THE HELL IS WRONG WITH THE THUNDER

Cavs vs GSW/HOU in the finals, still don't see the Cs beating LBJ until Hayward comes back
Would love to see the Cavs winning it all, but my $$$ would still be on GSW

LBJ's having a monster season, but I think Harden will take out the MVP.

With Cp3 back, i don't know if harden will actually win mvp, but he's up there.
I reckon lebron could actually take it, he's defying time at the moment.
I reckon an improved thunder team and a rockets team with cp3/harden that plays defense, and a spurs team with kawahi and LA (as he's playing rn) will give the warriors a run for their money.

If IT comes back healthy, i agree with you, cavs should still go through, but until then (and provided tatum, brown continue their current play) the C's could  give them a good fight.

Also GIANISS FOR MVP
Simmons for ROTY

#trusttheprocess hopefully embiid stays healthy

my predictions
Finals Cavs/Warriors (although I hope for houston to win the west and cavs win the finals)
MVP: leBron, he is statistically playing better than his MVP season where he was 1 vote shy of being the first unanimous MVP.
Simmons: ROTY (not even a prediction atm)

Embiid is a monster (if healthy), him and KAT are the future of the center position.
I really hate how we can't safely bet on anyone but the warriors reaching the finals, but im really hyped about the potential of this rockets team.
Lebron is just...i've given up on describing him, its just rediculous
And as much as simmons is good, i hate him for his inability to shoot. The only way i'd play him is if i surround him with 4 shooters, even then...GET A JUMPSHOT
