My family always wanted me to do an engineering course..because my elder brother is an electrical engineer..I was thinking of electrical engineering in y11 because it is the most prestigious engineering branch along with computer science in my homeland. However, I've been in love in rocket science since my childhood..so I've decided to pursue my dreams rather than meeting expectations.

For your question, I think if you do electrical engineering, you may qualify for different areas such as telecommunication engineering or computer science. Im not really sure about the areas but my bro is working for a telecommunication company after he completed a master degree in telecommunication engineering.
Your other option seems to be fine too. But if you want to pursue a career in science I would recommend doing a degree in physics..after all, the greatest physicists were/are from Germany..I think the Germans have something special in their blood. And check out 1veritasium on YouTube. :)

i have an uncle and an aunt that are electrical engineers, both love their job, and have similiar interests to you from what youve said, and they love it.
my mum did radiology or something similiar, im not sure but it was overseas, and she didnt like it and ended up leaving, she was paranoid about radiation, and she has had cancer before and would bet her bottom dollar that her radiology years were a factor towards it, granted in the 80s in greece there wasnt as much safety precautions as today, but idk, she also said that it isnt an overly fun specialty and can get gloomy at times, pay was good but work wasnt "fun"
if your family loves electrical engineering you very well could love it too,

just my 2 cents

do you have the option of trying out both these disciplines through a generalist degree at the undergrad level? Like the equivalent of a Bachelor of Science?

Just note that by doing medicine you have no guarantee in getting into the specialty of radiology. It's a very competitive specialty, and not one you can simply expect to get into.

"diagnostic" radiology isn't always like that though, since you seem to be keen on that aspect of it. A lot of the interpretation you do is really just confirmation of a clinical diagnosis that another doctor has already made. Sure there are occasionally unknowns or things that are unexpected, but the majority of the time you'll know what you're going to see from the notes accompanying the patient, before you do the scan.

Thx.
Does anybody know how much radiation your exposed to as a radiologist? Since the images are made by rad techs shouldn't it be not that much?

ok thanks :)

Does anybody has an idea what else I might should look at besides the two? Which other jobs suit the aforementioned features of myself?

idk, you seem like the type of guy that would enjoy doing medicine and working with médecins sans frontières or something - you like socialising and science and finding out about new cultures yes? good luck finding something that suits you!
