Apologies for yet another pandemic-related post, but I feel like this needs to be said. I hope with all my heart that this strikes a chord with someone. I'm also not sure what heading to give this thread, so I decided on something a little more positive.
I'm not sure if I'm alone in my thoughts, but I don't really have much to look forward to right now. Weekends have become non-existent. Remember when we used to be excited for the weekend? The days merge, with little to no distinction. I have no birthdays to look forward to anymore. My birthday has come and gone. Christmas is the next main thing on the calendar, but excitement for that has been stifled. What would life be like then?
I'd love to travel to places not too far from where I am. Country Victoria, the CBD. I can imagine myself in these places, soaking up the atmosphere and taking photos. I don't know when the day will come, but what I am certain about is that it will happen one day. Building anticipation and excitement keeps me going.
While we are still under restrictions, what little things get you through? What sparks your excitement during this time? What are some things you are looking forward to doing once restrictions have been sufficiently eased? I'd love to share in your excitement (or sympathise with your fears and anxieties, as that is completely understandable too.)
