Yes of course, just do well in your first year and meet any of the course prerequisites (given you were already applying for commerce I assume you do)

those of you wondering if you got Access guaranteed entry can just call up Melb Uni and ask, just give them your vtac number and they can check for you

feel bad for people who are trying to get into Melbourne Biomedicine and miss out with a 97, while I get guaranteed entry and I'm still not choosing it

Damn rise and shine Queenslanders. What did you apply for there?

Well I applied for med at UQ, but I can't get in because of my crappy UMAT score.

I also applied for BMedSc/MBBS @ Griffith Uni, which I am hopeful for, as they don't use the UMAT anymore. 

But if I get in, I have no idea whether to go there or not.  :S

lol, this is what i am thinking... the move won't be easy, but if I am still medless in 3 or 4 years time I will kick myself!
+ the gold coast (hopefully get into that campus...if i get in at all haha) looks like heaps of fun.

and i have just discovered that the Griffith course is deferrable, so a gap year is seeming quite appealing, and I could try for Monash + everywhere else all over again.

You do realise you'll be in QLD for 10+ years if you do study over there. Unless you get an interstate internship  at RPA, which is like 5-6 people a year. You'llhave to do residency + specialist training there.
