Child maths acquisition speed/Help Mel google

To start with - this is entirely self interest.

Today I was reading somewhere that x's parents were absolutely amazed when their just short of 4 years old kid worked out the number of tiles by counting how many along one way and how many along the other way and timsing them together.
And I'm just sitting there thinking 'well that's not that special'. I'm sure that if I a) remember working out by myself numbers were infinite when I was 4 or 5 and b) remember I liked looking at ceilings to count whatever was up there when I was little, odds are I could also do that when I was 3.

So essentially I want to know at what age people acquire maths skillz normally. This is like in English Language where we learnt babies start to babble at x months, make proper sounds at y months, say words here, say 2 words together there, can say all the sounds in english when they're 4, by the time they're finished primary school all the basic language skills are there.

I have tried to google and I can't find anything. This is mainly because I fail at working out what to type in there when I search for stuff (universal problem for me). So what you could do is suggest phrases to google with, now I think I have described the jist of what I want.

All I can think of atm:
Try: childhood acquisition mathematical/numeracy skill/knowledge
or just plain: acquisition without childhood
or: early numeracy skills
or maybe instead of acquisition, use "development" instead
