Hi! I'm not in year 12, but I suggest doing a couple of timed, full exams, mostly to find out the most time efficient way to complete the exam (order of essays, planning, etc).
And it is probably super inefficient and time-consuming to do hundreds of practice exams for english, but you could just sit down and give yourself an hour to do one essay from a past paper. That way you can focus more on time management and planning for that specific essay, and do this 2 other times for the 2 other essays in the paper. You could also just plan out the essays for some past exams. Maybe set the amount of time you would like to take up during the actual exam for planning, then practice planning essays under that time constraint. That involves testing your knowledge of the text and the points you would explain without having to write out the entire essay!
These are the ways I've seen most people revise for the english exam, and it also seems to be some of the most effective ways out there.
Good luck for your preparations!
