I was introduced to AN via google (random search). While I didn't initially post much, I found this thing called Irc. IRC was like this side section of AN, that was kind of a little bit neglected. On IRC there were lots of lovely people. There was Heidi, Aaron, Insanipi and flawsy, ButterflyGirl, Strawberries and bunch of other people (cause people come in and out all the time) , it was kinda cool. While I won't go into too much gossiping, people just talked about issues, stuff and whatnot =), it was nice.
At times people had dramas and we sorta looked after each other and made sure people were okay, it as if... it's almost like a family. I sorta saw this when I went to a few AN events and lecture here and there =). There wouldn't be another way to describe it with the camaraderie.
As others have said what was nice, was the community. They were supportive, nice and caring. We answered questions, helped people in need <3. Then I started getting involved a bit over time
(and now people know me as the sound of a screeching animal / human) that pops up every now and then.
I've made a few really close friends here, one of them is the sweetest of all souls (you know who you are) :,).
Maybe there'll be a 20th or 30th? Who knows... But for the time being, happy bday AN. Let the future friendships, support (academic and mental) and strong community continue =).
