@insanipi it might not seem ideal now, but be thankful you have restricted lab hours. Once you have access 24 hours, you end up spending waaaay too much time in the lab.
I had to disassemble and clean part of the instrument that I'm using because it was dirty and giving me not so great results. I've had to do this a few times and each time, there is a little hassle realigning and calibrating everything. Except this time, an entirely new issue has arisen that I've never seen before (and of course its when I'm on a serious deadline). I spent the last three days correcting it (was in the lab until 9:00 PM on Wednesday), but I'm still not convinced that its working properly.
Since I'm on a deadline, it looks like I'll be working through the weekend testing old samples to make sure that the data being collected is reproducible. I wish I could go back a few weeks ago when I was complaining that I wasn't allowed in the lab.
