It's almost the end of summer and I still haven't figure out how to dress for the weather - it turns out that long black pants on a 30 degree day isn't a great idea.

It was windy. It was cold. In excess of 47 trees fell over roads and 2 rooves blew off. I left home at 5 pm for the first job that came through. I didnt get back home until almost 4am. I have been awake since 6:45 when jobs started coming through again and my pager wouldnt let me nap, i don't regret but its still sucks especially because nowhere was open to get food so all I've eaten in 24 hours is a bowl of cereal and 2 red bulls. Joys of a VICSES vol.

Official numbers record over 260 call outs overnight.

Thank you for the amazing help you and all the other SES volunteers provide! Hope you catch up on some well deserved rest once things have calmed down.

After how crazy yesterday's weather was, it's so sunny and still and glorious at my place today!

Today is perfect - low temperature but warm sun, clear skies, no wind... so good.  ;D

Downside is now I'm locked in the lab and it's warm enough to not need my jumper on now 😅
