What grades do you need in methods for a ss of 25?

My grades are around 0-40%  :(
Is that enough for a study score of at LEAST 25 OR 30?

Did Methods back in 2016 so not sure how applicable this is (I think it's still the same study design, though?) - I got a raw 29 with a C+/B/C+. Most of my SAC scores were in the 60s iirc :) Depends how things are moderated. I had friends who scored 25+ with scores on their SACs of 40-60 (this is really foggy as its 4 years ago so can't say for sure).
The benefit of methods is the two exams make up GA 2 and 3 so if you don't do great on your SACs, your performance on your exams (and how the rest of the state does) really helps you. I remember feeling like I completely messed up both exams and figured out I would have maybe got 50% on both of them but that equated as B and C+ when compared to the rest of the state :)

Thanks for the information, I averaging under 40% tho so that means I could potentially get in the low 20's or under 20 right? Also one of my friends told me that if you are not doing well now it is hard to improve.

Like I said, really depends on your SACs - they can vary quite a lot between schools and aren't really comparable. I'd focus less on worrying about what score you might get, and focus more on putting strategies in place to boost your marks and do well on your exams. Smashing your exams for maths will give you a massive boost :)

I disagree with the sentiment that "it's hard to improve" - I found that I got better as the year went on and I got better at applying my skills, and I'd argue that that is the same for most people and most subjects. Practice makes perfect!

I'd say 25 would usually be around 50%.

Woah 50% is still a lot for me lol. So far I am looking at under 40% across all my test.

Try asking your methods teacher, or previous students who have received similar study scores what their SAC average was. That would be the most accurate estimate for you, since actual scores varies between schools.

Like above I think you should focus more on actually improving and less on playing the numbers game. You definitely have a chance to massively improve between now and the exam.

My teacher is a new teacher and I don't know anyone in my class who has done unit 3/4 since I am only doing unit 1/2 this year. Methods is one of those heavy content subjects and it is very difficult to catch up if you are in my position believe me, to top it all off I am lazy too. My school is fairly average, or sometimes above average and some years below average, so it is all over the place. The median study score at my school is around 28-31.

Sorry for double posting, but my school does not have much students score 40+ each year. So I assume that is bad since my cohort is kinda average.

Double posting, when not absolutely necessary or when insufficient time has elapsed since your last post is clearly against Forum Rules. These rules can be found here if you require a refresher.

For a median score of 28-31 I would say that is an average in terms of results but that doesn't mean someone can't still score well individually within that cohort.

Yes, students can still score well for me I am just aiming for a 25ss tho. Anything above that even better, but looking at how I am going I would not expect too high.

I went to a school like that last year when I did methods 3/4 - pretty sure our median study score was 27 or 28. I'm now at a much more high ranking school (last year's median ss was 34) and honestly i think going too a ""bad"" school might actually be a blessing in disguise since you don't have much competition, and since not many students are focused on study you're more likely to have one-on-one time with the teacher. Now at my new school the competition is so fierce and it's hard for me to get more personalised feedback since everyone else is also gunning for high scores.

So try and take advantage of that instead. It's definitely possible to score high despite being from a low ranking school.

Yes that is very true, but so far looking at how I am going, I don't think any amount of great teachers will save me.
