getting into MEDICINE

Hello AN, just got a couple of questions regarding med entry

Is it possible to switch from bachelor of science at Monash to Melbourne even though you don't do math methods?
Does Monash favour biomedical science students over science students when it comes to graduate entry into med?
Does Melbourne favour biomedicine students over science students during grad entry med?
Does Melbourne favour "Melbourne" science and biomedicine students over science students from Monash?
Is it easier to get into veterinary medicine or dentistry rather than normal medicine?
Is getting into Deakin Med as competitive as Melbourne and Monash ?

Thnx in advance  :)

(btw yes I'm contemplating  dropping methods cause i suck :-\

1. Probably although not entirely sure.
2. Yes
3. No
4. No
5. No and yes (DDM is more competitive normally, DDS less so)
6. No, less so.
2013-15: BBiomed (Biochemistry and Molecular Biology), UniMelb
2016-20: MD, UniMelb
2019-20: MPH, UniMelb
2021-: GDipBiostat, USyd

So pretty much you can get into Melbourne Medicine if you satisfy all prerequisites (biochemistry, physiology and anatomy) , have a competitive GAMSAT Score along with a  75% + WAM,
and it doesn't matter what institution you went to at all  . . .

thnx for answering all the above  :)

No. A 75% WAM would be on the lower side of things probably (depends how it translates to GPA) and they're now privileging interview scores over GAMSAT and GPA. But, it is entirely possible to make it to UniMelb med from that position, yes.

ahh so arent WAM and GPA essentially the same thing?

anyways what would a strong GAMSAT and GPA score be to get an interview? Is it hard to maintain that throughout university?
