Title: What's respect and how is it gained or lost?

I notice my profile now says +13 respect. What does that mean?

Hey,

Respect is a reflection of many upvotes/downvotes you've gotten on your posts.

Mathematically, each post with 3 upvotes or more earns you (n-2)x0.4 respect, where n is the number of upvotes.

E.g.
+1 = 0
+2 = 0
+3 = 0.4
+4 = 0.8
+5 = 1.2

I hope this clarifies things a bit!
