Glasses wearers of AN, how do you avoid / minimise foggy glasses with the mask and glasses combo? :)

Have to go into school tomorrow for a SAC!
Pull mask up a little higher works best for me, with the glasses forming the seal

If all else fails- a bit of TP or tissue on the bridge will work wonders from experience.

Source: been wearing mask + glasses/safety glasses since before the compulsory wearing of them :P

Edit: added a bit of clarity

Get a face mask that's designed to form a seal. I've heard so many hacks about soap, tissues, taping the mask to your face - none of them have worked for me, but ones that are sealed at the top of your face and don't let air go upwards work great.

Have to go into school tomorrow for a SAC!
- Wear a surgical mask - it will likely make a better seal at your nose than a fabric mask
- Press your glasses down on your mask to give the seal a bit more oomph
- Put surgical tape on your mask (this is a common move for healthcare workers) to help make the seal better
- Get some anti fogging liquid/spray - I have "Frog Spit" which was originally made for divers and stuff to stop their scuba masks fogging and all that but you can put it on any lens. I find my glasses still fog a bit with them but it clears quicker
- Try wearing your glasses a little further down your face.

Big one also is to make sure your glasses aren't cold - I find mine fog up worst when I first put them on because they're cold from being stored in their case and haven't been near my warm face.

Make sure that your glasses bridge is completely on top of the mask. It was the best way to prevent excessive fog when I went to school with glasses and a mask. It is challenging though so a lot of the time I just didn't wear my glasses or took them off and cleaned them every once in a while :)

Having had several covid swabs now, I've decided ADF personnel have the best and least unpleasant swabbing technique.
I guess I'm a swabbing connoisseur now!

The throat makes or breaks it. They have to swab the tonsillar arches so very easy to make you gag, but if you don't poke and are a bit more gentle it tends to hold off the gag (depends how strong your gag reflex is). Also speed is a big factor.

Nose is always unpleasant but a gentle insertion and steady hand are important. It's always going to burn and make your eyes water but they also tend to do the "5,4,3,2,1" countdown so you know it's almost done.

As you can maybe tell, I have too much time on my hands right now.

This almost sounds like you're getting tested as something to do rather than because it's something you have to do.  Would be a strange hobby to have

Haha more just that I have too much time on my hands if I'm analysing the technique used on my swabs.

Would just like to clarify 100% that this is not something I'm doing for fun lol

I actually talked to another human at uni today that isn't apart of my lab group. It was actually nice 🥰

So I've been taking my hair through all the colours of the rainbow since March after bleaching my hair for the World's Greatest Shave.

Yesterday, it went blue. But not any blue - the name of this particular dye is "anime". My hair is now anime coloured.

Also I was stupid in the bleaching process and managed to burn off a chunk of my hair ooft

Similarly went on a government sanctioned walk with mum (and my two youngest, dependent siblings) earlier and went through the nearest green space. One little girl popped up over a fence was like "OMG HUMANS COME TALK TO ME". 😂

Today I officially graduated from school! It feels quite surreal. It feels good to be graduating, but then again, I will miss seeing friends and teachers daily. Hope everyone had a great day today ;D
