I just realised that the super stretched images on here just need a click and they become perfectly normal!
Or it might just be my phone that's doing it... ???

Nah that's definitely the case across the board.

EDIT: Yep, insanipi just pipped me... by ten hours.

So I just rediscovered my old twitter account. Apparently I actually used to post things on there when I was 13/14. It's so cringey :-[ I'd forgotten I even had twitter lol

Edit: Having said that there's also lots of puns on there so maybe it wasn't completely horrible

I used to use the same password for everything so yep. I'm just going through and laughing at all the stuff I posted (and deleting most of it haha). I barely use social media anyway though (even though it seems I used to)

I've been considering getting Facebook but I'm thinking most likely not just because there's so much advertising on it these days and it feels weird to be treated a bit like a 'product' in  a way.. What do you reckon about Facebook/other social media?

I don't really notice the advertising much, I tend to just scroll past it really fast.
I mostly use Insta and fb. I follow more animal accounts than humans on insta though. And fb is mostly just for the memes -- most of the posts on my profile are from me sharing political posts sorry ppl who are fb friends with me. I mostly just use it for all the groups I'm in (mostly meme groups/other joke groups). Still think it's worth having though - definitely makes it easier to keep in contact with people you don't see very often. The advertising is annoying but you sorta just get used to it.

Yeah it's a tough weigh up - staying in contact vs advertising... I guess I'll probably get it just because all the people from school are spreading across Australia (interstate degrees!)

I know quite a number of people that use FB only for Messenger - the actual profile/posting side of things isn't used by them.

From my perspective I have had FB since I was around 15 or so (which is 9 years ago) so it's been my #1 social media site for that time. However i've started to use Insta and Twitter a bit more - I think each of them has their own purpose and it's about finding out what you want to get out of these social media sites.

If you just want to keep in touch with old friends etc, then you could always just do Messenger w/out the FB app.

Now, I don't really use FB much myself apart from the occassional post here and there, mostly it's about keeping up to date with pages (even though Twitter achieves nearly the same thing).

To clarify, do you mean like the ATAR Notes - VCE and ATAR Notes - HSC pages?

;)

I got it recently, caving to peer pressure  :-[ . The messenger part is really useful because you can text people without using credits or if you don't have their number. It scared me a lot when I first signed up because just by putting in my phone and email, straight away under suggested friends all my friends and tonnes of people who I all knew from my year level popped up. Most of them I'd never even texted, but I did use my school email. It scares me about how much the social media sites know about you. I'm very paranoid so I haven't posted any pictures of myself or used my real birthday, but I do have my real name.

Always watch what you're picking up when you're eating green grapes and grape tomatoes together. They feel exactly the same and every time you think you've got one, your mouth dies because it's the other one every single time. Lesson learned

I actually got emailed a legitimate e-gift card for once and I almost deleted it (assuming it was spam) without bothering to open it lol
