"Learning Theory"?

has anyone come across this term? I haven't but it was in the 2005 VCAA exam, short answers Question 3.E

based on the answer given by VCAA, learning theory appears to be a general term to encompass all types of learning, but I still couldn't think of anything to write :(

it just means using terms that relate to learning :)
ie. talk about how the parents could use punishment when the child threw a tantrum, in order to discourage the behaviour
(or positive reinforcement when good, anything as long as it used proper terms)

they just don't want you to say "give the kid a smack when it's bad" but use proper words :)
