Hi guys,
For the microbial testing of food and water experiment what are the ways that the experiment can be more valid, accurate and reliabe.

A generic one but always valid is to run each batch of tests in duplicate or triplicate - this helps determine if there is outliers in the data too. :)

Aseptic conditions can also increase the reliability of microbial analysis results :D

Inclusion of both positive and negative controls is another thing you could consider

Negative control: a control group in an experiment that uses a treatment that isn't expected to produce results
Positive control: a control group in an experiment that uses a treatment that is known to produce results
