Hey.

In the HSC exam, can they ask us specifically to use a certain method as in elimination or substitution, or is it just whatever way i can solve it right?

my teacher teaches it his own way that is sooo much easier and works every time?

Hey there,

I didn't do standard but I've never seen any formal exam question that specifies a specific method for anything - only in like class tests when the teacher wanted to you to learn and practice multiple methods, so that you could apply them in an exam situation based on your preference and the ease of application. If you've got a better method that your teacher has taught, definitely go for it! You can't be marked down if your logic is sound and you have the correct answer!! :D

Hope this helps :)
