Can I still get an ATAR of 90+?

I go to a school ranked top 30 in NSW. My recent (half yearly) results have been disappointing leaving me very unmotivated. I want to know if I could still achieve an atar of 90+ with all my results placing me between low above average ranks and marks ranging 50-70%. My subjects are Physics, Chemistry, Economics, Standard English, Maths 2u

I am guessing my final ranks will hover in the middle of the cohort and rank 1 being ahead by 10-30%

Hey, Lfex.

Certainly! You can still get any ATAR you wish, even with terrible midterm results. My midterm results were atrocious (47% for Extension Maths, 53% for Mathematics, and ~55% for English Adv), but with enough determination and work, I pushed myself up to band 5s and band 6s, earning myself an ATAR above 90.

You just need to stop worrying about what's been done, and start working towards the goal you place upon yourself from here. Anything is possible, and remember that your school can pull you up as well. Good luck! :)
