Thanks so much for posting! Going to Open Days is easily the best way to decide what the future holds; experience the vibe, talk to as many people as you can, and grab as much free stuff as fits in your millions of Uni-branded bags!

Tbh get as much info as you can out of it but having the mindset of a second-year now your top priority is just getting freebies.

Completley agree with Rui, yes open days are really good for getting insight into the different degrees but the reality is that you won't ever truly know what it's like until you start studying it and the fact is, it's becoming increasingly more common for people to change degrees at least once.
SO definitely take a look at the different courses but try to load up on the freebies!!!

Also note the layout and architecture of the uni and the buildings - one of the issues I had with one university is that it was too spread out and I would have to travel through and past buildings that were not part of the university to get to class. Or one of the buildings I would be in was super dark and I didn't like the lighting and the atmosphere in the room - these might seem dumb and stupid but they were factors that made me have a bad perception of it and I knew I wouldn't be able to study in that room. Try to envision yourself in the atmosphere of the university is what I mean!!!

I am going to the Maq. Uni open day. Not the UTS one as I was already there in the holidays for ATAR Notes and as well as for a scholarship interview. The campus is interesting, like it is not as 'open' as other Universities but in saying that, it looks professional. I was thinking of going to the UWS open day....but....Mcgregor vs Mayweather #priorities
