K888, I've never bargained with someone in my life. I wouldn't know where to begin.

Send your mum or your dad in to do it for you - that's what I did 😂 I think you just ask if there's any deals they can cut for you...having worked in retail I know we usually were happy to take the price down on more expensive items as long as a customer asked. Worst they can do is say is no!

I understand, though - I'd never have the courage to do it myself haha

My mum has never bargained either!  

So, sadly, I have no one to teach me the art of bargaining.

try to make conversation with the sales assistant crack a joke etc if it's going well you could ask "so is there anything you can do for me about the price?" or something similar, I've seen my parents do this and it's worked 9/10 times

Many retail outlets are happy to beat the price, if you can provide evidence of a lower price elsewhere.

I think the first time will be the hardest, give it a go if you want the worst thing they can say is no, and then you can still buy the product so no big deal
