You might need more 'sciencey' things to show at the interview because they care a lot about your passion for learning about science.

Even though that is true to some extent, the interview stage is to get to know you and your interests, passions, hobbies and extracurriculars. My advice is to collect all the things you've done over the past years that will make you look good and then rock up confident (remember, confident not conceited). Hope you do well!

does anyone know what sub tests we have for JMSS test? I heard from year 10s who did year 11 entry said there was no report or discussion writings this year.

It really depends if the test is online. All information regarding the test structures and if its online will be released next week via an email and on the website.  If it is online then there would be no report writing and additional writings. However, if it is at jmss then writing will be there.

I don't think the exam will be at JMSS because the rate of which the coronavirus pandemic is increasing is quite fast. There is no chance of it slowing down at the moment.

True, but what stops people from cheating. It is inevitable that people would cheat and facetime or pay students to sit the test for them. This would be unfair.

I don't think there is a chance to cheat on the exam. The timing is so restricting.

I’m a year 9 and I’m doing my test for JMSS this week week I was wondering what type of questions were on the math tests and how hard they were. Did it mostly cover the year 9 or 10 textbook? If you could remember what type of questions show up could you please tell me? Everyone is saying the test is easy and much easier than the selective school one but honestly I’m nervous coz maths isn’t my strongest subject. I got a high average on both maths test for the electives last year(still confused how).
