Your cas looks great! (Still waiting on mine as my friend has been given most of our class's cases haha). Have you found out whether it's fine for exams? I guess you could always just take the calculator without the front bit if it isn't.

rant #1
Spoiler
not really a rant soz but it pisses me off when people try to explain your own culture/religion/language, etc. to you like you have no fucking clue

rant #2
Spoiler
my geL NAIL CHIPPED AND SOMEHOW HALF MY HAIR IS NORMAL AND THE OTHER IS WAVY WHAT HAVE I DONE

rant #3
Spoiler
some people in advanced say "ask me for help if you ever need it", yet complain about how people come up and ask for help and get annoyed when you ask. i know its annoying but if you dont want to help just say so. our school's very understanding so just saY NO

journal time

- i have submitted my comparative essay with an extension (praise be to my teacher) but idk what we will be doing next so we will find out tomorrow
- we have began probability in maths and even tho we just started it, i kinda like it now??? like i hate probability and statistics but lets see
- health and sport is going same old same old. kinda excited to get pe over and done with this year tho
- architecture is going amazing. i am a god. i will create tiny houses for all. just kidding, but its going pretty well tho cuz my walls arent 7m anymore wOOps
- we have started homeostasis in bio and im so stressed for my exam hnNnNgh
- next wednesday i THINK (not 100% sure) i have to go on an excursion for bowling and laser tag for sport and next monday i get to go to the zoo for bio so that means party time

read spoiler if you care about tutoring lmao
Spoiler
- ok so i went to an info sesh about chem tutoring and im like kinda funny with chem but im so psyched to go yAy (for real, no sarcasm here folks)
- in chem i personally like the theories more than the actual chemical equations bc im dumb and idk how to do that so hopefully i wont be screwed over for next year
- my bio tutor had to delay our 3/4 until next year i think because she has a family emergency so i hope all goes well for her and her family
- ooooh boy the methods tutor im gonna (hopefully) go to hasnt responded about when hes starting classes so kinda stressed but still
- idk if i wanna keep doing english tutoring cuz like, its expensive and im already good at english and i think shes already helped refine some of my skills so maybe ill go a few months to her and see if i wanna keep going to her or not

hey so, people should also know that im not going to a tutor because everyone else has one, its because i know my pattern of studying and i feel as though tutors really encourage me to get my work done, understand the concepts better and clarify things. im not there to waste time but honestly in group tutoring it feels like some parents force their kids to go cuz theyre gonna become these 99.95 kids when really they dont wanna be there. i sound like im on a weird higher level than these kids but sometimes its frustrating not bc theyre distracting the class but theyre wasting their time when they could be at home doing whatever they thought would help them and i feel like parents/guardians need to be very considerate of this bc their and their kid's energy and time go into it but also (usually) their parents' money. i think we really need to kind of stop the idea overall like "i need a tutor because everyone has one" and get a tutor if they think they really need it. idk where i was going with this lmaO

also i kinda wanna make a discord server with some people who are in year 10 this year so hmu if you think youd like to join or if its a good idea

have a wonderful day and good luck on those assessments and assignments everyone!! <33

where have you beeeen??
Spoiler
stressing : )))

- for maths i just had my polynomial test and it went better than expected and we're doing probability and its killing meeeee
- german is a pain in the ass rn. so many tests and so much hw and at this point im slowly giving up.
- english is going amAZING seriously its so easy going at the moment
- we are doing netball in world game ooooooh and we have to do a roleplay in health where im this disgusting kid who keeps throwing balls to my neighbours
- omgomgomgomgomgomg bio assignment is going pretty well. i thought it would be so much work but its not even that bad tbh. we had an excursion to the zoo and tbh the only attraction at melbourne zoo are how many seagulls are there (for real, i loved the lemurs) and for my bio assignment i picked to study how to conserve asian elephants and its actually kind of fun uwu
- architecture omg i finished my first floor im so proud of myself but i need to take my folio home and finish off my floor plan and my 2 point perspective aaaaaaaaaaaah

im really glad german is almost over for me (same with pe). its way too intense for me and i cant handle it rn so idk how im supposed to handle it in vce. rn tho ive just been having some personal issues with some people and im stressed about some subjects so lets see how i go :,))

unneccesary update:

- im really upset at the moment as ive just found out there was an air force cadet squadron i could join. for those who dont know, macrob doesnt offer the cadet program anymore. the reason why i cant join it is because i dont know how the stress of vce will affect me and i have to do the program for at least a year. its really unfortunate timing for me and im upset about that
- aside from that, chem tutoring went amazing and i think ill actually understand chem
- i kinda wanna start a bullet journal after seeing my friends but i might go with a minimalist theme if i do so
- im obsessed with the neko atsume game and i keep checking my phone for more cats to come oof
- like its imaginary cats but i still want more??
- i downloaded episode and even tho everyone hates it, heres some stories to read: the bunny boiler, I married a millionaire, psychotic lover, all aboard and blood lust
- ive screenshotted a few scenes because theyre just funny. some prime examples "*laughs in misogyny*", "LOL I HATE YOU" and "she's a little too edgy for my taste"
- one thing i dont appreciate tho is that for the stories written by episode, some of the good options you need to pay gems for. however, a while ago i was watching a youtuber play episode and when they used the gem option it actually didn’t turn out the way it expected so i decided to play the same story myself without any gems. needless to say, gems do not equal best outcome

ill come back with a full report on wednesday or friday about school. i just wanted to talk about how it’s going for me Rn and stuff. have a good day and good luck on those exams <333

Hellow, your journal is super cool and I've literally spent so much time reading it right now. And yes, I'm finally on atarnotes :))
And about the part with people getting unnecessarily annoyed about helping people when they said themselves that people can approach them for stuff, I've had experience with an accel person like that at school, if you don't wanna help, it's all good, I can always find someone else to help me with trig. A perk of MacRob is that you get a lot of connections once you get in, because people are just really easy to talk to and if you say no to something, we'll just understand and find someone else, you're not the sole person I'm looking to seeking help from so don't worry

No, don't worry, it's not you. I asked quite a few people for help with trig and you were moreover one of the people who actually helped me when I needed it, so thank you :)
It was someone else, and after it seemed that she was kinda busy/ didn't really wanna do it, I just started studying on my own and you just appeared at the perfect moment  0:)
and the LRC is kinda ew so I get where you're coming from sjdghsf

i know i said id update on wednesday but i was busy throwing up oOp

08/11/19
- for architecture im almost done finalising my floor plan and ill begin my two point perspective drawing of my house and ill hopefully finish my second floor by today as ill be in the room working on it during lunch as well
- we dont talk about german bc i literally get so stressed out from it omg i hope they let me change to accounting 1/2 next year
- i have to submit my creative piece draft (change a fairytale or make your own, ive made my own) by sunday (read the spolier if you wanna know what its about
Spoiler
a princess falls in love with a poor man and their love is so strong, yet forbidden, that they will do anything morally and ethically questionable to keep each other in their lives (e.g. arson, robbery, homicide)
- in health we're doing a roleplay about responding to situations. we have to give three types of responses; passive, aggressive and assertive and conclude which is the most logical response (SPOILER: ITS ASSERTIVE)
- for sport we're doing netball and a lot of people dont like it but it think its not even that bad??
- we are still doing probability for maths and i dont like it very much. i dont have a reason why, i just dont like probability compared to everything else
- im almost done with my bio report hallelujah!! its much easier than i thought it would be but now my exams coming up soon HnnnNNnghH
- im gonna start a bullet journal and i vow to actually do it and not ditch it halfway. its gonna be minimalist so no calligraphy sorry not sorry

if anyone plays episode still, what are some good stories to play? and if people still read what are some book suggestions?

have a good day!! <33

Hey Khad!

Just found your super interesting journal and I love where it is going so far ;D
How are you adjusting to the new school year? What are your current favourite subjects and do you have any goals of what you want to do this year?

I'm really looking forward to seeing the rest of your journal this year :D

10/03/2020

hey guys, i know i said id update this journal but im so sorry i took a while to do that. ive been really focused on school at the moment and ive hardly found time for myself, let alone to update this. but here i am yay!!

so the subjects im doing at this moment in time are:
- specialist maths 1/2
- accounting 1/2
- methods 1/2
- chem 1/2
- english 1/2
- bio 3/4

so lets see how im doing in all of them rn

spesh:
Spoiler
OH MY GOD I DID NOT REALISE THIS WAS ACTUALLY HARD. ok i actually need to focus most of my time on spesh rn and thank god for this upcoming four day weekend. my main issue is that majority of my class is doing methods 3/4, so the teacher doesn't remember that some of us don't know what concepts she's talking about. but its my responsibility to catch up and these last two tests were jus yikes

methods:
Spoiler
methods is going pretty smoothly. i have the same teacher as i did last year and he is literally amazing i love him sm hes gonna caRRY me to success. i doubt i did too well on my first test though but we have room for improvement!!

english:
Spoiler
hahahahhaha i did not read any of the assigned novels and i had to write a creative response to "the wife of martin guerre" but i think i did pretty well?? now we're analysing "stolen" (play) and it's honestly fun yet depressing at the same time if you know what it's about

accounting:
Spoiler
LITERALLY FREAKING LOVE THIS SUBJECT. as long as you like numbers accounting is a breeze imo. it is frustrating when the balance sheet does not balance and then you have to go back and kEEP trYinG. im doing pretty well on all the tests so far so ive got this.

chem:
Spoiler
my teacher for chem isnt the greatest so god bless my tutor. literally the only person i can understand chem from and that is genuinely the only reason why im doing well in chem rn. we havent had any tests per say, just a shit ton of pracs. but im pretty confident that ill ace any chem test rn.

bio:
Spoiler
the only thing people care about; my only 3/4. i had my first SAC and i was confident but then it went down when people kept asking m what i got for certain questions because now i think ive gotten half of them wrong and this is literally going towards my atar. so for my next sac im gonna study the crap out of it. otherwise i think i can do this??

wow, now time for my personal thoughts:
my school does not give any of its kids jackshit to do in year 9 and 10, yet, expect them to handle all of it in year 11 and 12. this has incredibly messed me up and ive lost my rhythm. i now have motivation to do well and i have to try my absolute best to catch up with everything and get on top of my game. i would appreciate it if people constantly asked me about what ive done this week for this subject and so on so forth because i dont think most the people who read my journal want to know about that?? (if you do let me know so then i can give the people what they want uwu)

andddddd, time for questions:
How are you adjusting to the new school year? What are your current favourite subjects and do you have any goals of what you want to do this year?
adjustment to this school year is hard buT I CAN DO THIS BBY. my current favourite subjects are accounting and english, mainly because im doing well in them but i just have fun in those subjects. my goals for this year is to just get like B's and A's in all of my subjects, maintain good mental health and litERALLY just glow up because istg i look like a sewer rat 24/7.
YAY! So excited to see your journey this year!! What are you most excited for?
im excited for the summer holidays!! jk j, hopefully i can attend some atarnotes events and meet some of my LoYaL fAnS

have a nice day guys <33
taking a break.

hey khad, I can totally relate to losing your rhythm, my school also made years 9 and 10 so fun, so the transition to year 11 was initially difficult but it does get better.

Regarding your bio sac, the best advice would be to just try to forget about it after you've done it. Sometimes peoples nerves can get on you as well and that feeling sucks. How are you enjoying the content in bio rn? Easy, Hard? If you've read the study design what topic are you looking most forward to studying in bio? For me personally it is the immunity section (although i've heard from people in the past that is the hardest lol)
