edit2: I used to export 5-cent pens from India by the bucketload, they were my besties in year 12 :P
I'm more of a mechanical pencil guy, and my daily carry is the Pentel P205 (0.5mm, the black one). I bought mine on eBay for $6 from Korea a few years ago, and I've been using it daily ever since. In year 11, my pencil tip was damaged somehow, and I asked Pentel if I can buy a new tip, and they sent me a new pencil for free. Here are some notable mentions:
- Pentel Techniclick (~$4 at Officeworks)
- Pentel Sharplet (~$4 at Officeworks, tip lasts exactly 2 terms before cracking. This happen to me twice)
- Pentel GraphGear 500 (~$15 on eBay)
- Staedtler Mars Micro (~$10 at Officeworks)
- Pentel STEIN P315 (~$10 on eBay)
All prices are in AUD. If anyone has any questions in regard to mechanical pencils, please let me know. Sorry, I just realised you asked about pens...I use the Pilot BPS-GP (~$4 at Officeworks). It's a really comfortable, and smooth ballpoint pen. Some may also recommend the Pilot G2 series, but I don't really like gel pens. I carry a Parker Jotter with me everywhere I go.
My grandma sent me heaps of pens from Sri Lanka and they were really nice...can't find them here. Next time I go, I'm going to also buy a bucketload.
The only pen i used during VCE and planning to use in uni is BIC's 4-colour ballpoint pen.
Never had a problem with it.
Ones that you get from uni open days by far
Invest in a good set of pens for the year guys, will boost your S.S in English :PSpoilerJust kidding, it probably won't, but it'll make your examination less tiring
Any pen that allows me to pen-spin smoothly is generally the pen I go for (don't really care about anything else tbh LOL).
Same goes for mechanical pencils, haven't found one that's beaten one I bought in China back in 2012 (which I lost *cries*) but I've just been using the Pentel Energize X for now :P
Get a Pentel P205!Had a check and it looks like a nice pen! Only I think it might be on the heavy side for pen-spinning plus the metal tip looks a bit fragile since I do drop my pen quite a lot (mainly on the barrel unless it falls of the table) and I'm afraid it'd break otherwise >.<

As for mech pencils:
Pentel Graphgear is my recommendation, although the Rotring series is quite nice (albeit pricey).
Let me know what you guys love using ;Dwhichever pen the person sitting next to me lets me borrow lmao
My favourite pen is the Bic Atlantis Gel . Omg it is soo smooth it seriously just glides on the paper <3
This! But not the gel ones, ain't nobody got time for that. :P
No one believes me until they try them, though, at which point they try and steal them. :'(
literally everyone who has borrowed my pen says "oh this is a nice pen" and/or "can I use it 'for the day'" lol
What is a good pen to reduce my writer's bump??
i use the bic atlantis pens and iv'e never had that problem so they are good...but then again I've haven't had a writers bump since primary school...but the atlantis ones are my favourite pens
