Psych derived score??

Pls help!!

Psych is my first 3/4 (current yr10) but a few hours before the exam I had a family emergency and long story short I didn't sit the exam. I did all my sacs this year, and the GAT, and after checking the VCAA website it appears that I might be able to apply for a derived score?? Does anyone have any experience/advice with applying? Is it even worth it? I didn't really take the GAT seriously, my unit 3 sac scores weren't great (but I was rank 1 for unit 4), and my school is ranked pretty low so sac scores will get moderated down VCAA website says the derived score comes from my sacs and gat score.

Also the application process is so complicated but I must submit within 10 days of the psych exam and now I only have a week but there is literally a million other things to do at the moment so I'm not even sure if applying will be even worth it if I just end up with a mid 30s SS? Would it be better if I just repeated psych next year or did an extra 3/4??

I would apply, if nothing else because you don't actually know what your score would be unless you try. Mid 30s is better than what you're likely to get otherwise and if you do decide to repeat psych anyway you might like the confidence of having an idea of knowing your previous performance.

Take this like a grain of salt, but from my point of view, I guess you wouldn't have that much to lose if you did end up applying for a derived score. Like, if you weren't happy with the SS that you got, you could always repeat Psych the following year if you think you could improve/get a better SS.
