Med/biomed without chem?

Hey all, got kinda curious after talking to a coworker today

She told me that she was doing biomed but dropped chem in VCE after realising how bad she would've done in it after doing u1/2
I would've assumed that she did bachelor of science first or something, but she said that she only just finished her first year so like- how would this have been made possible?

Yeah most courses will need chemistry but definitely not all universities will have this - e.g. I think Deakin may only have English as a prerequisite.

I'm pretty sure she said RMIT though?
I checked the site thinking it was something like that but it said that chem was still a prereq, so I'm just curious haha

You could ask her about it to find a definitive answer :)
Not sure about biomed but most medical courses in Australia don't have prerequisites other than English, although that might be changing.
Sometimes you make choices, and sometimes choices make you.
