RELATED TEXTS FOR HSC 2019 NEW SYLLABUS EXAM

Hi!
We are doing the common module: texts and human experiences, in English at the moment. For our assessment, we have to look at our prescribed text ('The Crucible') and a related text of our choosing. However, our teacher keeps telling us that we will NOT be assessed on the related text in the HSC exam, meaning that we won't need to write an essay or anything on it during the exam-. I was just wondering if anyone else's teacher has told them this or if anyone knows if this is definitely the case?
Thank you! :)

That is correct, NESA no longer requires a related text to be tested in the HSC exam. Instead it will be a part of an internal school assessment created by your English department, usually in Term 4.
