Hey guys,

Could you recommend some study guides for Economics 3/4?

Is the CPAP study guide better than the ATARNotes one?

Cheers,

Wishing you all very Merry Christmas!   ;D

I bought both, and I found that CPAP was a lot better than the ATARNotes Guide just because it went way more in depth and was good for extending your understanding of concepts in economics. The ATARNotes Guide was too basic in my opinion and didn't explain things in depth.

I guess it depends on what you want the study guide for.
If you want a study guide that just gives basic explanations of each dot point in the study design, then the ATARNotes one would be suitable.
If you want a study guide that gives an in depth and detailed explanation of each dot point on the study design, then the CPAP guide would be suitable.

Just adding my own question, I’ve heard mixed reviews about Cambridge checkpoint books in general but how helpful are they specifically for economics? I’m debating whether or not to get one. Thank you!

Tad late to the party, but imo the Cambridge checkpoints is not essential. I didn’t buy it and I didn’t ever feel like I needed it. Most of my classmates who bought it didnt find it that useful anyway. If you ever need extra resources for questions, the textbook has a crap ton that are fine.

Just curious, but how are you doing 7 subjects, and splitting it over so many years?

I was only planning on doing 6 but I didn't expect to do so badly in psych :( So I'm doing 7 now to make up for it so that it (hopefully!) doesn't contribute to my ATAR.

And I'm splitting more evenly because I want to do year 12 part-time so that I can also work on the side. If you do 3 subjects or less you're considered a part-time student.
