What are everyone's electives for Modern for 2019?

Obviously, we're doing our core right now, but for National Studies, my school is doing Russia and the Soviet Union 1917-1941, for Peace and Conflict we're doing Conflict in Indochina 1954-1979, and for Change in the Modern World we're doing Civil Rights in the United States 1945-68. Arguably the least interesting topics, except for Russia, but I guess my school is playing it safe with the new syllabus, so I can't complain.

Some good electives!
What are the syllabuses like for russia and indochina?
Have they changed substantially from last year?

I did those topics, and the new syllabus (in National Study and Peace and Conflict) is essentially copy and paste (for the options you stated anyway). Very solid options -- what IS everyone else doing?

Pretty sure the most significant change in the new syllabus is the new core topic being Power & Authority in the Modern World (which to me is a throwback to SAC concepts and distinguishing the two terms). But they got rid of Germany as a National Study and threw in more Asian countries because they're trying to move away from a Eurocentric approach. Although, they did cram all of the Germany National Study into one section in the core topic. I haven't checked other Peace and Conflict electives but there is a slight change in the Conflict in Europe syllabus- they got rid of the dot point dictatorships in Italy and Germany because they moved it to the core topic.

But yeah, can certainly help in the Germany section of Power & Authority and Conflict in Europe :) (if there's anyone doing that topic lmao)

Since everyone's jumping on the notes train, might as well just mention that I can help for Russia (even though I gave away my notes [handwritten] to my teacher) and Indochina since I did both those topics.  ;D
