Advice on how to structure a human rights essay for a sac?? Very stuck
Can I do three different debates? Or just two and one treaty?

Essay topic is
International laws are difficult to enforce due to tensions between realism and cosmopolitan.

Please help!

I am in similar situation at the moment but I hope I can help:

So for that prompt, I would say, as cosmopolitanism and realism are overarching, you will need to blend this in regardless
So here are 2 ways you could tackle it:
1. Have your 3 body paragraphs as the 3 debates, (State sov vs R2P, Economic challenges to the universality of HR, the cultural challenges to the universality of HR) - so either way it is these debates and the realist and cosmopolitan perspectives within each which create difficulty in implementing international law and upholding universal HR) As in my opinion, realism prevails, as all the debates are  pursued in a cosmopolitan and idealistic approach but are enacted via realism
2. 3 Body paragraphs on responses by global actors, (2 cosmopolitan and 1 realism) such as the UN - paragraph 1, AI - 2 and a state as paragraph 3
such as pick an international law, I decided to chose the UN convention on the rights of the child. Look at the responses by those actors and how cosmopolitan and realist actors determine the implementation of the CRC.

Hope they kinda helps, message me if you have any other questions :)
