What da fuck, I got 74. Getting my exam checked. I was positive about getting a H1.

I did miss an entire short answer question (allelic frequencies) so I think that I must have acidentally move all of my answers into the wrong boxes. But still, 74. That's pretty shit for me.

Congrats on your awesome marks doods.

I really did guess my way through that exam.. :D

Intrinsically your abilities were there; guessing your way through like forty something multiple choice then say 25 other questions (section B and C type which are like one out of 10 or something) which carry other probabilities, and then guessing the section D would be way too statistically unlikely to still result in an 85 overall. Hence what you think you are guessing you probably already know but you're just doubting yourself. Of course there would be questions you already know how to do but it was likely that you somewhat knew the ones you thought you weren't so sure on.

I like to use this comparison sometimes: given 135 multiple choice questions (actually it's fewer than 135 but I thought I'd round it up to the nearest 5) with 4 alternatives the probability of you acing it is lower than the probability that someone were to pick an atom somewhere in the observable universe and having another guess it correctly with one shot (if I my previous calculations were not off, assuming that the number of atoms in the universe is relatively constant because it's not by energy mass conversions and factors relating to decay etc.) (Also going by estimations through Wikipedia (lol) of 10^80).

Oh, and congratulations!

Wait guys where did you get your genetics marks from? I thought there was supposed to be a 'results' button on the home page...?

Go to the study plan and it should be one of the subjects that have been grayed out. You can get all your results earlier this way.
Was a few shy from a H1 this sem but I guess I deserved it :\

Now I remember how annoying I was in first year, getting results so early and what not haha.

Well done guys, you've all done great.
And to the biomeds, you (hopefully) all survived the torture that is physics and stats! :)

These are the two I am really worried about. I really hope I didn't go too badly. These subjects are like this: you go in thinking you're prepared, yet you always get a surprise.

For statistics, they have scaled both the assignment and lab test up for this reason, and I guess we get the buffer of the exam of 20 marks, but even so the lecturer said there can be a possibility of scaling up on top of that buffer if the distribution is too skewed.
