Just buy a yearly, you dont have to touch on/off, much more convenient.

For tertiary students, a yearly is definitely not worth it at all.

Even when I use myki, a monthly isn't even worth it and I go to uni 5 days a week.  Myki money ftw!

A monthly costs like $77.84 whereas $50 will last me a whole month travelling from zone 1&2.

How much would you estimate the cost of 2 hours travel per day 5 days a week for a month to be?

EDIT: Zone 1

A monthly actually doesn't cost that much. I go to uni 5 days a week (like most others...) and you're actually paying more by using myki money, rather than doing a myki pass.

hey guys, i have two questions,

1) How do you calculate your GPA?

2) How long does it take to get an academic transcript? The website was rather vague it just said a "short" waiting period for applications in person...

Cheers :)

no idea, i just gave them my average marks anyway haha, and really? for them to print it out and everything? sweet

also, finally, if i want to scan something (i.e. the transcript) where is the best place to go do that?

also are there a few standard ways to calculate GPA? or does each institution have a different calculation method?

What do you want to use it for, cos there are a bunch of different mechanisms. Some programs just average all your marks. Some convert to a 7 (or 4) point scale. Some average just one year of marks. Some let you remove your two worst subjects etc.

If you want to scan your transcript, be aware that some places won't accept it, you'll need to get a certified copy and then scan that. Annoying, I know.

i'm scanning to attach it to a online application... what if i just scan it by myself somewhere on campus? surely there's a scanner somewhere on campus... Is there a reason some places won't accept the original transcript when you want to scan it?

No, it will only validate a maximum of 2 of your 2-hourlys in a day - considering it's the same price as a 5 x daily it is strictly better.
