I'll be running a VCE psychology kahoot at 7:30pm Saturday the 16th of February (this Saturday).

If you want examples of how this has run with other sciences feel free to check out the biology, phsycis and chemistry threads - and let me know if you have any questions or comments :)

How does it work?

Biology ran this morning so looking there might give you an idea.

A few minutes beforehand I share the code, questions & potential answers on the forum. During the kahoot I also use a skype account I've made just for this and run a group call explaining answers describing the score etc. During the bio kahoot I couldn't screenshare properly but I'll try to fix that before psych.

So then you should have the option to:
- see questions and options on this thread
- see questions and options via Skype

Does this answer your question?

Just a couple of quick questions - is this for 1/2 or 3/4 psych?
And also is it on content that students would have covered up till now in class or is it just general questions?
Thanks :)

Targeted to 3/4 but there'll be some overlap (eg research methods based questions). The questions will be about topics most students will have covered in class by now

No problem - hope this helps :)

10:30am Kahoot cancelled due to insufficient numbers :(

Going to try running it again at 7:30 pm TODAY to see if we can get decent numbers :)

That's alright - there are likely to be more kahoots later in the year so hopefully you can make it to those :)

The myelin sheath surround the axon and also the other info was correct

The spinal reflex, although involuntary, does involve the somatic NS

after q5 pf took the lead

The freeze response can be beneficial for avoiding detection

after q10 (which tripped almost everyone) knightleend is in the lead

te spinal cord is not part of the peripheral NS

after q15 knightleend is still in the lead

Wow. That went very fast compared to the other kahoots despite there still being no kahoot which has been answered 100% correctly

Congratulations to all  - here is the final leaderboard:

1st: Pf 20366
2nd: knightleend  2030
3rd: MB_ 14730
4th: I_spy 8577
5th: … 8360

Not going to confirm yet, but it's *possible* another one will be run on the school holidays. Otherwise it's fairly easy for me to rerun this on the Wednesday, Thursday or Friday   (definitely won't be doing this next week but I will in a few weeks if there's demand)
