This exam is pretty important as it'll be the only VCAA-produced examination available for 2013 Physics students for their new study design and exam format. However, it's just ever so convenient that VCAA doesn't even bother to write solutions for them - which is understandable because the exam-writing and the assessment departments are separate - i.e. those who mark the papers aren't those who write the exams.

Am so thankful that I do not have to go through these new exams.  They look like torture...

The new exams aren't actually that bad - especially with Physics, which I found to be pretty reasonable (haven't done or really looked at the others).

Physics exams tend to be reasonable in length so most students should finish early, which means that there's ample time to take a 30s or 60s breather in between sections.

Plus long exams have a few benefits, being spread over more time means small setbacks such as spending too long on a question won't be as costly!

There will be a toolbox with all the formulae you will need in physics (including custom developed formuale)

But the detailed solutions will serve as all the theory you will need to know!
