I'd love for Elyse to confirm, but I'm 99% sure the answer is yes! ;D

Yes you can!

This is on the English FAQ site on BOSTES:
Can a text from the HSC Prescribed Texts list be used as a related text?
Students will not be disadvantaged by using a text from the Prescribed Texts list, provided it is relevant to the module/elective concerned.

So, if it's ok to use prescribed texts as a related text in the same course, it's definitely ok to use one from a different course as well! So totally ok to choose an Extension 1 English prescribed text as a related text. :)

What about using English Standard prescribed texts are ORT's for English advanced (paper 2)?
I am a current year 12 student, hoping to study Engineering Mechatronics at UTS

I don't see why not, Elyse and Jamon might be able to weigh in on this too but as you can see below there's no penalty for using a prescribed text as a related text provided its relevant to your Module.  :)

Lol, Other related text. Was not expecting that as it doesnt make sense logically if you think about it too much because it implies that there needs to be a related text in the first place for the second related text to be the "other related text" I read too much into things :D

Thanks for that though rui just a point of curiosity :)
