Bad: I didn't go for a run for 14 months.

Better: I've been for two 5km runs in the last week.

Well done!!! I am proud <3

Make sure you're stretching before and afterwards and not pushing yourself too hard - 5km is heaps when you haven't run in such a long time! Keep us updated, and keep going!

I think you mean to say that you have been resting up for 14 months in preparation for the runs you've done this last week.

Better (but also a bad idea because I'll give myself a stress injury if I don't do a progressive loading program): I've been for two 5km runs in the last week.
Fixed that for you ;)

7.5km earlier this week and then 4.5km just now.

If you overload yourself I'll eat your toes - stretch beforehand and afterwards, do a walk/jog cooldown if you're pushing yourself, stay on top of your overall strength and balance.

Otherwise, yay! #goodadmin

If this means 20kms (split between 2-4 runs) in a week, I agree.
If it means J41 should run a half marathon (or 2/3rds of a marathon????) after 2 months of moderate exercise, I am going to pretend I didn't see this.

10km.
On fire 🔥 Keep us updated!
